  • Author: Chef Ali
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A simple and protein-packed banana bariatric shake designed for post-bariatric surgery patients. This shake is easily digestible, high in protein, and naturally sweetened with banana, making it a perfect option for breakfast, lunch, or a post-workout boost.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 scoop unflavored or vanilla protein powder (whey, casein, soy, or plant-based)
  • ½ frozen banana (adds sweetness and creaminess)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or other milk alternative)
  • ¼ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter or almond butter (optional, for extra flavor and protein)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional, for fiber)
  • A few ice cubes (adjust for desired consistency)
  • Sweetener to taste (stevia, erythritol, or other sugar-free alternatives)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Pour almond milk into the blender first. Add protein powder, frozen banana, Greek yogurt (if using), peanut butter or almond butter (if using), chia or flax seeds (if using), and ice cubes.
  2. Blend: Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds or until smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust Consistency: If the shake is too thick, add more almond milk. If too thin, add more ice cubes.
  4. Taste and Sweeten: Adjust sweetness by adding your preferred sweetener and blend again.
  5. Serve Immediately: Pour into a glass and enjoy your protein-rich banana bariatric shake.
